Dabo Swinney

A walk-on wide receiver for the University of Alabama in 1989, Dabo Swinney earned a scholarship and lettered three times, including on the 1992 National Championship team. In 1995, he received his MBA from Alabama and became a full-time assistant football coach for the Crimson Tide. After a stint at AIG Baker Real Estate, he joined the Clemson University coaching staff in 2003. He was named interim head coach in October 2008. As head coach, he has led the Tigers to national championships in 2016 and 2018. Swinney has said, “[Coaching] allows me to use my life experiences to impact young people and to serve God through what I do.”
